Hello everybody I'm running the latest free version of Across, can you please help me sort this out: I've got a simple txt file, but it also contains a few tags and a kind of BBCode, and I need to make crosstank ignore those tags. A common sentence would be: normal text to translate [[some code]].
how can I make crosstank to ignore " [[some code]]" in a txt file?

Afaik, txt files are added to Across as "Word 2000-2003" documents. So, you need to edit word settings: - Go to Tools -> System Settings, select in settings tree Document Settings / Word 2000-2003. - Create a new template (not to spoil existing one) - in "Customize ..." area click "Add" (you will add a new "rule" how to process specific objects by this); - click on "..." near the "Name" editbox; - insert \[\[.*\]\] into regular expression editbox, click "OK"... I checked this with a very simple document, where [[ text ]] was always on a new line, and it worked fine. But sure you should be careful with this method and check whether nothing is lost when translation is finished. ▲ Collapse

Thank you very much AAV but it's not working as I was expecting as it's locking/ignoring the whole sentence/paragraph. Example: Text to translate.[[BBCode]]
the whole sentence/paragraph would be locked/ignored. Also, the BBCode is not on a new line (sorry, my mistake on the first post). So I just need to lock the "[[BBCode]]" while being able to translate the preceding/following text. Any idea?
