There was a question here about a TMX editor but it was removed for some reason. Oven if the OP violated a rule, others might be interested in knowing that Olifant is a free editor for the TMX format and it can be downloaded here:

http://okapi.sourceforge.net/downloads.html

Get just Olifant from this link, other, up to date versions of free Okapi tools can be download

It was not "the OP" that violated a rule, but the site member who created a fake profile to ask a question in the forum, and creating fake profiles is a violation of the site user agreement.

I realized that someone broke a rule. Sorry for blaming the OP...

Back to the main topic. Olifant is based on the .NET platform so it is tied to Windows, but hopefully in a not too distant future there will be a new, platform independent Olifant (or whatever it will be called) based on Java.

Regards,

Piotr

Thanks for the tip! Never heard of it, and it's new, so thanks.

However, after installing it and quickly opening a large work TMX, I can't really say that it's ready for production just yet. I couldn't even figure out how to select a segment, let alone edit any metadata.

I think I'll stick with Heartsome + (the old) Olifant as my work editor for the time being, although I will definitely be keeping an eye on this!

That tmx editor thingie is very new, the creator just emailed me about it a few days ago. Apparently they integrated some of my software. I haven't checked it out yet.

Hi Andras,

I made short testing of TMX editor and also this presentation:

www.condak.cz/nove/2014-09/08/cs/00.html

That are mostly the screenshorts and sometimes are added the comments in Czech.
I was using not only TMX editor but other tools (include your), too. Thank you for your work.

Milan

#Milan Condak

I find your TMX EDITOR reasonably good, but it can't handle big TMX files with more than 3 million segments. The same with HEARTSOME TMX EDITOR 8.

Is your program a 32 or a 64 bit program?

Try Xbench or CafeTran (for very big TMXs) Jan 10, 2015

Xbench is pretty good at really big TMXs.

Another option is to use CafeTran's built in TMX editor, which has almost all of the features of the others (and if it's missing any, they might still be added by Igor), plus can open massive files.

I just merged 8 large TMXs (ranging between 300 and 500 MB each) into a single, 3.7 GB-TMX, and then ran a bunch of "tasks" on it.

Dear De Sena Viegas,

Im am only user of SW, I am not a programer, I am not an author of TMXEditor.

In Czech forum is a topic with 4 links to newer presentations:

http://www.proz.com/forum/czech/279998.html

I need 3 features for big TMX:

split into smaller files

swap direction of languages

edit wrong character(s)

(My ISP made some changes and I have been not fixed all files. I am sorry, not all links are working on my web.)
