在Yueyin 的建议下，我们几个想在巴黎聚聚，大家热闹热闹，我算是“东道主”，很乐意为大家服务：预定房间，安排巴黎活动，陪同游览采购……
既然到了巴黎，不继续在欧洲旅游可惜。如果大家愿意继续一起游览欧洲，我可以向巴黎朋友了解巴黎较好的华人旅游公司，集体组团选择欧洲游路线，这样有华人导游，吃住不发愁，只管玩。

我建议时间初步定为明年5-7月，5-6月气候宜人，阳光明媚。但是孩子们上学，所以要带着孩子来不容易。我也只能在巴黎这几天来陪同，我女儿明年5-6月考高中，我不能随团游欧。如果我没搞错的话，周丹的侄女5-6月也要考大学，周丹本打算带她一起来欧洲。
7月份热点，巴黎还凑合，如果接着到英国、德国、荷兰等国没问题，但如果想下到地中海一带，就会很热。地中海一带值得一游。7月的另一个问题是孩子们放暑假，旅游的人数剧增，旅店房价会涨，如果不随团，吃饭住宿会麻烦。
近几年气候异常，往年8月最热，但巴黎今天只有20°C。很难预测明年气候。反正还有时间考虑选择具体日期，暂不确定。
巴黎游览最少要3-5天，最多无限，不少人被巴黎迷住了，呆一辈子。
如果大家真想一起在巴黎聚聚，我会陆续把实用信息贴出，供参考选择。欢迎大家提建议！
Libin 得来，不能老“公费”旅游。

Chance, thanks a lot for your terrific proposal and kind invitation. I have been to Paris three times and fell in love with it at the first sight. I promised my LP that I would take her to tour around Europe one day.
I am not sure whether we will be available for this gathering because we are planning our study in Australia. if admitted, we can show up only between "5 Jul to 23 Jul".
another realistic problem is Schengen Visa. I am not sure whether a mainlander can get such visa easily without joining a tourist group.
Anyway, I am a trip expert:) and can help you design the itinerary and find the cheapest accommodation and transportation even if we are not able to join you.

如果个别大陆同仁会有签证困难，我可以想想办法。大陆同仁如果真希望来，最好先到当地旅游公司详细了解情况和各种可能，然后再提出具体困难。
还是到澳洲学习重要，以后机会更多，希望你们的澳洲申请顺利！

Betty, I am not sure about what you would like to know about Australia.
To be frank, there are not much to see in Australia. all it has are nearly what Canada has, such as beaches, oceans, and lovely animals. all sites of interest are widely distributed across the country. it may take you a whole day to see a huge rock or a beach.
anyway, Australia is a beautiful country. if you have enough time to escape from your daily life, you can invest one week or so in experiencing the Great Barrier and its creatures.
if you have a plan to visit Oceania, don't forget New Zealand. it will bring you into the magic world of "the lord of the rings".
should you need any specific info, please don't hesitate to ask me.

完全同意，这样的梦之旅当然应该“自费”，已经答应我女儿明年带她回国内玩一圈，如果她的时间允许，带她一起来游欧洲。我女儿今天就要来看我啦，Am I a happy Dad? You Bet!

I am planning to visit both countries: Australia and New Zealand. Before starting off, I would very much like to know if there are any good travel agencies out there which can save me time(and money):).
BTW, are Australian kangaroos friendly to everyone?:)

真巧，我女儿也是明天从地中海度假回来，我去巴黎接她，我们一般坐地铁倒火车站，很可能她又会说：我不喜欢巴黎 确实，我们小城的地铁比巴黎干净多啦！

我女儿11月就20岁啦，她去年上了宾州大学Wharton商学院，学校暑假在阿根廷的布宜诺斯艾利斯有个夏季计划，今天回来，我晚上9点到洛杉矶机场接她，她在这里过三个星期左右，然后就该回费城开学上课了。女儿大了不麻烦，自己看电视，看看书，让我送她到海滩晒太阳或者在游泳池里躺着晒太阳，逛逛Mall买些衣服啦等等，就这些事。

Unlike most of you here, I'm not much of a traveller to start out with. My idea of seeing the world is popping a video into the DVD player. It's one of the main reasons I haven't left the US in some twenty odd years.
