If you’ve been scolded by friends for saying ‘when all is set and done’, you’re not alone – linguists even have a word for it:

acorns? Sep 17, 2014

Sitting here wondering whether, in view of the eggcorn, I have been pronouncing acorn correctly all this time...

Spit and image Sep 17, 2014

"Spit and image" is not an eggcorn moment, it is the original form of the expression, it is "spitting image" which was the eggcorn moment, though it has now become more common than the original form.
