Multiterm 2014 error while "Loading Termbase List"

Dear all,

I have just installed Multiterm 2014 (and Studio 2014).
However, I haven't managed to try it out, because I have the following problem with it:

When I click Open Termbase to open a local termbase, a dialog box appears saying "Loading Termbase List".
This dialog remains on the screen for quite a long time,
and then the following error message is displayed:

I have just installed Multiterm 2014 (and Studio 2014).
However, I haven't managed to try it out, because I have the following problem with it:

I use Windows 7 and previous versions of Trados (Multiterm/Studio 2009 and Trados 2007) are installed on my machine.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?

I believe MultTerm 2014 cannot access termbases on a MultiTerm 2009 server. MultiTerm may have stored a link to such a termbase. Go to C:\Users\"user name"\AppData\Roaming\SDL and rename the folder SDL MulltiTerm to xSDL MultiTerm so that the folder will be recreated the next time you start MultiTerm.

I have done what you suggested, but, unfortunately, it doesn't help.

Solved! May 1, 2014

Dear all,

As it turned out, the problem was related to WMI.
Now that I have repaired WMI everything is working fine.

I used the method described here (Method 1):

After applying Method 1, I was able to start WMI from the command prompt:

a. Click Start -> Type CMD -> Right click on CMD from the result -> Click Run as Administrator

b. Type the command ‘net start winmgmt’ and press enter
