Problem with Trados Studio 2014 and Windows 8.1

I have a brandnew laptop with a high performance processor and enough Ram. It includes Windows 8.1. So I have never upgraded from 8.0 to 8.1.

Trados Studio 2014, which I bought specifically to accelerate my working speed and work more efficiently, is extremely unstable. It freezes all the time, changes are either gone or they are in the TM but I have to remember what I changed to include it again. It is very annoying and I'm extremely frustrated with that program.

As SDL is selling an expensive program, they should make sure that it is compatible to the latest OS.

Does anyone have an idea how to fix this problem? I cannot go back to 8.0 as I never had it. My laptop came with 8.1.
