I should send the updated TM to the customer, but now when I look no new translation units have been added to it. I have checked the update-box for the memory and tried batch-tasks Update main translation memories, but no new units appear. What am I doing wrong?

Maybe you're looking at a different TM. I'd double check the name and path of your TM. If that doesn't help, then maybe this blog post will:
