I'm using SDL Trados 2014 SP2 and in trying to build up the number of TUs in a TM, I am currently aligning existing documents from language A>B (the main translation requirement). At some point in the future I am wondering if I will have to do a separate alignment from B>A if need be, or whether an alignment can be imported with the Source as Target and vice versa?

Reverse language direction Jan 29, 2015

To reverse the language direction of your TM, do this:
- Go the Translation Memory window in Studio.
- Open your TM.

Thanks! Jan 29, 2015

The quick response is greatly appreciated - I thought that there was a logical and straightforward way of doing it.

Or use AnyTM... Jan 29, 2015

... and this can manage your TM in both direction as you work. No need to specifically create in opposite directions and import export to keep them in synch.

Thanks Paul! Jan 30, 2015

I'll have to see how I can get the IT department to allow me to use OpenExchange plug-ins - as our IT policy is particularly stringent - but I do like the look of AnyTM.
