I'm using SDL Trados 2014 SP2 and in trying to build up the number of TUs in a TM, I am currently aligning existing documents from language A>B (the main translation requirement). At some point in the future I am wondering if I will have to do a separate alignment from B>A if need be, or whether an alignment can be imported with the Source as Target and vice versa?

Reverse language direction

To reverse the language direction of your TM, do this: - Go the Translation Memory window in Studio. - Open your TM. - Export it as a TMX. - Create a new TM with the new language direction. - Import the TMX.

... and this can manage your TM in both direction as you work. No need to specifically create in opposite directions and import export to keep them in synch.

I'll have to see how I can get the IT department to allow me to use OpenExchange plug-ins - as our IT policy is particularly stringent - but I do like the look of AnyTM.
