I'm a prospective customer considering Trados, and I've recently found out that it will run only on Windows.

My question is, can you viably run Trados via virtualization with Parallels, VMWare Fusion or VirtualBox, or is it best to use a native Windows environment?

You have to run windows environment either on parallels or bootcamp. This has been discussed many times here. Please search to find additional information.

Hi

It is true that the software runs only on Windows, but as you can run Windows on a Mac, there is no problem in using Studio/MultiTerm on a Mac.

2) By Parallels or VMWare Fusion (both around 90 USD) and install it. This will allow you to run Windows in a virtual machine (VM) at the same time as MacOS. This is the preferred solution, it is more comfortable. Make sure you have at least 8 GB of RAM on your Mac if you want to use this solution, so that you can assign 4 GB to your Windows VM.
