I have just bought a new notebook with a UHD monitor. The title bars, menu bars and icons are tiny and virtually illegible. The floating windows (e.g. search/replace) are only 1/4 the size - top left hand quarter, the rest is cut off.

I have just bought a new notebook with a UHD monitor. The title bars, menu bars and icons are tiny and virtually illegible. The floating windows (e.g. search/replace) are only 1/4 the size - top left hand quarter, the rest is cut off.

Trados has a similar problem and they have issued a solution using a manifest file (http://producthelp.sdl.com/kb/Articles/4959.html) to disable display scaling. I tried converting this for Transit with no luck. An email to Star has gone unanswered for 2 days, so I will try again by telephone. But in the meantime, does anyone have a solution to this problem?

I can only work with NXT on this notebook by docking the search window - which takes up too much space - and because I know where the buttons are (check with magnifier if I'm not sure).

I am surprised that this is still a problem because these screens have been around for over a year and software development is supposed to be forward-looking. Furthermore, they are becoming increasingly popular on notebooks. The screen resolution is excellent, with extremely sharp text rendering in Word, making my HD monitor look fuzzy in comparison.

Cheers to all,
Jill

try the sp9, it should support higher DPI-Monitors.
