How does that come under translation news? May 5, 2016

This is not "news". This is something every translator (or translation project manager, for that matter) should learn within the very first week of their training.

Advertising? May 5, 2016

It's actually advertising by a translation company, a blog post on its website intended to attract clients to use its services.

This does not look like information or invitation for discussion, but a commonly used advertisement we see often. Having glanced through the info, I also don't agree with everything written there as being a means for guaranteeing quality. Somewhere in the beginning it describes accuracy as "added value". Added? It's kind of essential.

They're all translation agnecies' jobs May 5, 2016

I've read the article, and everything written in there is what a translation agency should do before delivering the final product to one's clients. If agencies are not taking these steps, they are just middle-men (brokers). What John wrote above is also true. It's one kind of advertisement of this company that "we are serious about translating, and if you could place an order with us, we will guarantee you high quality translation."

An article about *quality* should not have any typos.

Well, well! May 7, 2016

As others have already said, this isn’t news! It smacks of a blatant publicity stunt and not even successful at that endeavor…

3rd party quality reviewer? May 9, 2016

Most agencies have no in-house native speaker of the target language of translation. Many of them contacted me to hire for translation review. I am not reasonably convinced of such translation quality.

Talking about quality.. May 9, 2016

... the text isn't even very well written, with several glaring grammatical errors, ugly repetitions, etc.
