Hi, my Wordfast Classic 5 won't recognize any of the TM files, old or newly created. I get a message: "TM file: xxxx.txt was not found. I have tried defragmenting my disk, changing TM files, reinstalling Wordfast - nothing. I have a licensed version. On another machine, the same version of Wf is working fine with the same TMs.
Thanks for help and kind regards,
Darko

Sounds like you have tried all the right things, maybe one other thing to try is deleting normal.dot? I assume you re-licensed your new WF install?

Let's try deleting normal.dot
Apr 25, 2010
Thank you Lori, I shall try that as it sounds promising. I have never done anything with normal.dot, though, so I'd like to know whether I can just delete the template file or do I have to create a new (perhaps blank) one?

What I would try and do is check access rights to directory (folder as it is called nowadays) - read, write, modify, etc. - in particular if it is a network drive.
You do not mention what system you have (Vista?) but you might try to log on with full (administrator) access rights.
This might be an issue.
Tell us if it works.
Marek

Marek, thanks a lot, the whole folder was write protected. Although I never use this feature, it must have been activated automatically during some file transfer. Now everything should work perfectly.
