ما تعلمته في البلاغة في دراستي الأزهرية أن كلمة أيادي مجازا عن النعم التي ينعم بها شخص على آخر وقبل طرح
الإجابة تثبت من هذه المعلومة فوجدت ما يلي في كتاب "تهذيب اللغة" للازهري
وقال الليث: النسبة إلى يد يديّ على النقصان.
وقال: وتجمع يدُ النعمة أيادي ويديَّا، وتُجمع اليد التي في الجسد الأيدي
وجاء في كتاب "الكليات" لأبي البقاء أيوب بن موسى الحسيني الكفومي
واليد بمعنى الجارحة تجمع على { أيدي } وبمعنى النعمة على { أيادي } فإن أصل { يد } { يدي } وما كان على { فعل } لم يجمع على { أفاعل } وبعض العرب تقول في الجمع { أيد } بحذف الياء وليس { أَيْدٍ } في قوله تعالى { والسَّمَاءَ بَنَيْنَاها بأيدٍ } جمع { يد } بل مصدر بمعنى القوة ومنه المؤيد والتأييد ولو كان المراد به جمع { يد } لأثبت الياء لأن هذه أصلية لا يجوز حذفها والجموع تردّ الأشياء إلى أصولها قال السيد الشريف الأيادي هي حقيقة عرفية في النعم وإن كانت في الأصل مجازاً فيها وقد يكنى بالأيدي والأيادي عن الأبناء والأسرة لأنها في التقوي والبطش بمنزلة الأيدي ومنه تفرقوا أيدي سبأ
فأعتقد أن هذا هو مراد السائل

I remembered the following verse:
اصْبِرْ عَلَى مَا يَقُولُونَ وَاذْكُرْ عَبْدَنَا دَاوُودَ ذَا الْأَيْدِ إِنَّهُ أَوَّابٌ (17)
من سورة ص الآية 17
The word 'أيد' here refers to 'power'. I am sure if its plural could be the word in question but you can sense the meaning though.
