Englisch Begriff oder Satz: cleanfeed
Why cleanfeeds?
Best described as "everything but" feeds, the need for them can be illustrated by three fairly common operational functions ; studio feedback, telephone balancing and network contribution.

cleanfeed
Erklärung:
Much as I fear the natives coming down on me like a ton of bricks here, I very strongly suspect that in the absence of an authentic FR term, the EN word is often used in this wider context than the narrowly-specific solution proposed by Termium.

This term comes from the very comprehensive telecoms glossary cited below, but once again, suffers from the fact that this is only ONE of many different types of cleanfeed:

clean feed circuit = retour d’écoute

http://people.itu.int/~bloud/osiglo.htm

But at least it does have the advantge of being closer to Asker's context of a mixing console!

--------------------------------------------------

This same glossary also gives:

clean dialogue = dialogue pur (sans effets sonores)

which again is yet another specific sub-type of cleanfeed — but certainly the idea of 'pur' is the one needed here.

The problem is, as the context explains, the generic term 'cleanfeed' simply means that it is a particular feed of SOMETHING, MINUS one of the components that is only included for feeding elsewhere; their description of 'everything but...' is spot on, but I doubt a literal rendition of that would work in FR: 'tout sauf...' ??!! (I feel a 'hormis' coming on...)

Here's a private glossary that gives a closer term, though still more of an explanation:

http://home.nordnet.fr/~jdujardin/ledico/dico.htm

CLEAN FEED
Sortie audio / vidéo partielle.

(it should be noted that a cleanfeed can be either audio or video, or of course, both! — It sounds as if the present context is audio-only)

--------------------------------------------------
Note added at 2 hrs (2007-05-17 16:43:59 GMT)
--------------------------------------------------

And here's yet another one, which seems to be corroborating 'sortie partielle' ('directe' not being particularly applicable in the present context):

http://tommyknockers.free.fr/Glossaire.php#c

CLEAN FEED : sortie de console configurable en tant que sortie directe ou partielle.
