As it says, this is the technique of analysing light using rotating discs. You can phrase it better. I'd naively go for "mixage disque".

Erklärung:
Au lycée en cours de physique on l'appelait le "disque de Newton". Un disque avec les 7 couleurs de l'arc en ciel en camembert, qui semblait tout blanc lorsqu'on le tournait à grande vitesse.

La technique qui consiste à disperser la lumière blanche à l'aide d'un prisme pour analyser son spectre s'appelle elle la technique de décomposition de la lumière.
