The rest of the presentation dealt with recent, as yet unfinished, research on security lending by US equity ETFs. The conclusion so far is that the ***actual lending income*** for ETF shareholders generally seems to be small relative to potential revenue. It remains unclear whether this is due to the stance of cautious managers on securities lending or because the distribution to shareholders of total received lending revenues is too small.
