1) Zero the dial indicator by turning the ***outer casing*** of the dial indicator until the needle is pointing to 0.
2) Verify repeatability by gently lifting up on the spindle and letting go. The dial indicator must return to 0. If it does not, repeat the zero adjustment (Step 1), or notify supervision if not attainable.
3) Measure the sample by gently raising the spindle of the dial indicator, sliding the sample underneath and gently lowering the spindle.
Ich hab's so uebersetzt:
1) Die Messuhr auf Null stellen, dazu am ***Gehäuse*** der Messuhr drehen, bis die Nadel auf 0 zeigt.
Ist das richtig? Oder handelt es sich um eine "aeussere Fassung"? Wer kennt sich mit Messuhren aus?
