Quarterly, you will fill out a Strategic Plan for your district to be used as a planning tool and for giving direction towards the goals you are committed to achieving.
Reports and tools available to develop your Strategic Plan include:
• YTD Status Summary
• Sales Ranking (expiration dates)
• Monthly Department Flash
• Special Promo
• Sales History Trend
• Weekly Gift Card Sales
• Contribution
• Manpower Ranking
• Secret Shops
The sections of the Strategic Plan form should be filled using the following guidelines:
1. Decreasing Area Information:
• List the number of decreasing stores in your area, and the total number of stores. The form will automatically calculate the percent.
• List the individual store numbers, the YTD% decrease, the factors contributing to the decrease, your plan for turning business around, and the turnaround timeframe.
2. *Opportunity Weeks*:
• The store was below company/territory last year
• Special circumstances that prohibited business (e.g. weather, mall renovations, etc).
• Special events this year (e.g. mall grand opening, mall anniversary, new anchor opening, sporting event scheduled, convention, etc).
3. People Opportunities:
• Vulnerable associates in which you have a succession plan in place.
4. Sales Opportunities:
• List opportunities in the following areas: LY Sales, ADS, 14K EP, PWP, and UPT
5. Merchandise Opportunities:
• List opportunities in the following areas: strength departments, decreasing departments, allocation opportunities, new trends, competition shopping, *kids expansion*, Latin buys.
6. Operations Opportunities:
• List opportunities in the following areas: shrink, expense control, controllables, and payroll control.

"Erweiterung des Kinderabteilung" would also be possible, and would of course indirectly imply a greater variety of merchandise.
