On 28 August 2003 the Ministry of Taxation released a draft bill which includes proposals affecting the taxation of interest and royalties payments to non-residents and amendments to the current thin capitalization rules.
The Danish government is considering the introduction of a withholding tax of 30% on interest payments to non-Danish resident related entities except for those which are eligible under the EU Directive on interest and royalty payments.
