Neutraler Kommentar Caryl Swift: In every theatre/theatre company I've had dealings with, the inspicjent is the equivalent of the Deputy Stage Manager - the one who controls the entire production during performance.

Erklärung:
Generally speaking, the 'brygada' is the stage crew as a whole and a 'brygadzista' or 'maszynista' is a stage hand/crew member (although, in some theatres, at any rate, a 'maszynista' flies scenery, so is more specialised than a 'brygdzista', who doesn't):

without proper context 'maszynista' could be not enough

'brygadzista', however, is the manager of 'brygada', not a rank-and-file worker
