Há muito tempo os segmentos musicais especializados (seja no âmbito do jazz, do funk ou mais recentemente das diversas tendências em música eletrônica) utilizam o termo groove (Pt/Br), significando um pouco de cada uma das coisas que as traduções acima sugerem (embora "groove" não tenha um significado assim tão preciso, como "vibe", por exemplo).
