Thanks for the suggestion. It seems that the "lots" referred to the "lots de succession"

disagree  Daryo: In some other context, possibly. But I really can't see how to square this interpretation with the use of " avec ..." in the ST! + "des lots" are more likely to be some kind of "packets", rather multiple partial repayments.
