Does this translate as ha, ha, ha in English or is there a better translation?
It appears in the following segment of a children's video game called Titeuf.
Dis, je cherche un aimant giga : t'imagines, on pourrait attirer Jean-Claude à cause de son appareil dentaire. Mouaaarf !

Erklärung:
I think you can get the same effect of an evil laugh by just adding more 'a's and 'h's rather than just the flat hahaha. English does seem poor in this aspect though doesn't it? You might even invent something like a Mwa-ha-ha. Good luck!

le rire Hahahaha n´est pas vraiment vraiment l´idée du "mouarf" qui est déjà exclusivement écrit (on ne l´emploie pas à l´oral). Il y a là une nuance certaine. Ici il ne rit pas vraiment, il "pouffe", genre "Ah la bonne blague, hein ?"
Dans les blogs jeunes on le lit trés souvent là ou un "lol" serait aussi parfaitement passé, il est employé pour éviter de répéter lol à chaque ligne.
Je sais que le "lol" est du langage Internet mais c´est un jeu vidéo Titeuf donc destiné à une catégorie d´âge qui emploie quotidiennement "lol" et qui comprendra parfaitement de quoi il retourne.
C´est juste une suggestion, il est clair que cela dépend du goût du traducteur mais si vous voulez rendre le plus fidèlement possible le sens exprimé dans le "mouarf", je ne pense pas que "Hahahaa" suffise.... ;-)
