"Va au compost" qu'elle m'a dit ! Je vais l'atomiser !!!

This is again a sentence from Titeuf. Is this an actual phrase French kids use or is it specific to Titeuf because they place a lot of emphasis on recycling? If so, how would you translate it? "Go roll in the compost heap"?

As I understand it, the game is focusing on recycling and the character has received an instruction to go to the compost heap/bin with a load of vegetable peelings, for example.

I'm assuming that the instruction was not meant as an insult, but was taken as one by the character. If that's correct, I don't think that the person issuing the instruction would say "go compost yourself" or "jump in the compost".
