I presume the reservoirs you're talking about are underground deposits or manmade caverns (in salt deposits for ex.) containing hydrocarbons, rather than tanks on or near the surface which have been artificially covered over.

The above based on the keywords \"geology\" and \"exploration of reservoirs\" in your question. However, \"type of reservoir\" and the word \"enfouissement\" itself make me think more of storage tanks.

I haven\'t come across any web hits for \"enfouissement\" in relation to natural reservoirs, and indeed, the word applies (usually at any rate) to burying, covering over, to an artificial action. Note that \"capping\" applies also in the case of the earth cover put over landfill sites and certain kinds of nuclear waste storage facility.

More info would help.
