Knickers, duds, dacks, undies, jocks, pants... ? All seem British or Aussie to me. I know that grown American women wear "panties" (ugh! sorry, that's one of my I-just-can't-say-that words, smacks of soft porn and paedophilia to me) but would little girls really use that word themselves? I've done the Google search and found retailers selling "girls' toddler panties" (gee, I feel like a creep running searches like that!) but it's obviously mum's doing the buying and from my delving into things like Rugrats etc. there is not really any mention of these unmentionables from the still puritanical States. So, feel like running some innocent questions by the neighbour's little girl, anyone?...
