Bus/Financial - Management/Verwaltung | | Französisch Begriff oder Satz: État-major | This has nothing to do with people in green, grey, brown uniform or camouflage outfits, and everything to do with (mainly) men in expensively-tailored business suits.
Quite a number of French-language businesses have started giving this name (i.e. État-major) to the unit which co-ordinates the activities of the undertaking across either the parent company or the Group as a whole.
Has anyone come across something other than / better than 'CEO's Office'?
In fact, the CEO's Office can be just one unit within the 'État-major'.

| Hinweis von Fragesteller an den AntwortendenI'm sorry, but I have to disagree strongly with the proposal that 'management' is the equivalent. It is too broad, reaches way down the hierarchical pyramid and does not express the decision making group which is very near the pinnacle of decision making in a large business.
'Executive', my information suggests, is not a term used in business contexts for a specific division or hierarchical group at the pinnacle. At the most, it applies to individual persons.
