Science - Mathematik und Statistik / au plus un certain montant en n rondes | | Französisch Begriff oder Satz: au plus | I don't fully understand this phrase. Is there a comma missing or another error. OR am I being slow?
The phrase is found in a report aiming to prove that Poker is mostly a game of skill rather than luck. The rest of the sentence is not problematic but the last section seems oddly constructed.
"La convergence numérique en fonction du nombre de rondes jouées est rapide; on peut ainsi estimer finement, non seulement l'espérance de gain de A, mais la probabilité que B gagne, la probabilité que A gagne ***au plus un certain montant en n rondes*** etc."

Celine Courcy: 2:04pm Oct 12, 2007: Thanks - Thanks everyone, it was more the structure of the sentence I was struggling rather the term 'au plus' (my fault for not explaining it very well). But after moving away from the text and coming back to it, it all started to make sense which is why by the time you posted your answer you may have realised the question was CLOSED...
