Französisch Begriff oder Satz:De ce qu’on appelle pudiquement « la vie sociale »

I found 'vie sociale' to mean 'corporate governance', but I'm not sure if that fits this context. I'm also unsure of how to translate 'De ce que' here to make the first part of the sentence fit with the second clause.
Context:
"De ce qu’on appelle pudiquement « la vie sociale » même si la plupart du temps, et pour une grande partie de la planète, ce n’est justement pas une vie, ou à peine. "

Also, these 'de ce que' constructions pop up everywhere, and this one proves difficult as it starts the sentence, and makes it hard to introduce the second clause. This sentence comes after the following: "Ce dont XXX nous parle, c’est de la pacification apparente de la guerre civile souterraine, invisible, de l’exploitation." I don't know if that helps really.
