HARRAPS:
curé = parish priest
prêtre - priest

So the two terms become redundant... "parish priest" or "rectory priest" will do.

Ministre = minister, clergyman ... so "ministre" will do.

I would leave the minister out. Unless we know what it is there for, we can't translate it. Minister means servant, so maybe it is just part of the French title.

Neutraler Kommentar Tony M: Assuming from the terms this is the Catholic faith, in the UK we don't usually use 'rector', the place he lives in is a presbytery

Zustimmung Anna Maria Augustin: Yes, Parish Priest and Minister as in Pasteur

Zustimmung Jennifer Gal: I'd go with Parish Priest, and/or if it's from a marriage or baptism record, for instance, then you might want to check glosspost, where there is a Quebecan geneology terminology list.

Zustimmung Christopher Crockett: Just "parish priest" --"minister" is redundant. It may well be there in the original for a reason, but in English it is redundant and awkward.
