Französisch Begriff oder Satz: avec caisse embarquée
This is a text describing a new self-service restaurant which has recently opened in the business district of Paris:

"Il s'agit d'un self (à terme 1 200 couverts/ jour sur 7 kiosques ***avec caisse embarquée*** + 1 kiosque animation entrées et desserts), d'un XXXX et d'une caféterie YYYY.

I'm translating for a British audience, so "caisse" has to be "till/checkout" (and not cash register), but I don't have a clue what "embarquée" means.
Thanks in advance for your ideas!

Tony M: 7:12pm Apr 15, 2007: I strongly suspect it means that each of these 7 'kiosques' has its own till — you know, like one for grills, one for pasta, one for pizzas, etc., instead of having a row of central, common tills. but I don't have specialist knowledge to back this up
Black & White: 7:27pm Apr 15, 2007: Hi Tony....I think you're right and it makes sense in the text which also mention getting served quickly. I wonder if there is a technical word for this type of set-up?
Karen Stokes: 7:33pm Apr 15, 2007: Might "integral" do it?
Jennifer White: 7:38pm Apr 15, 2007: Agree with Tony. Embarqué = "on board" ie installed in each kiosk I suppose, so Karen's idea might work here.

with individual tills
Erklärung:
Well, I think you possibly could use 'integral', but to me, that suggests more the physical design of the 'kisoque'; given the way it fits into the sentence as a whole, I'd be inclined to go for 'individual', UNLESS there is anything else in your context to suggest that the use of 'embarqué' is a special one here, in the sense of 'on-board' — I suppose either way, they are in any case only going to be terminals from some central computer system.
