Französisch Begriff oder Satz: Paqu'te tes petits, bébé
This comes from a film script, a comedy. A woman (sort of a crime boss) is asking a man why he didn't follow her instructions but instead kidnapped another woman. He's explaining that he thought his plan was better and that he didn't want to hurt the woman, only scare her a little. The full dialogue is as follows:

Man: Juste lui faire un peu peur...T'sais, genre..."Paqu'te tes petits, bébé. Je te donne un break! Envoye scram!"...Une affaire du genre...J'ai entendu dire que ça marche d'habitude.

I'm not 100% sure what he's referring to with 'paqu'te tes petits.' My guess is that it's a rude reference to her anatomy but perhaps I'm off base?

severn: 9:00pm Jan 14, 2007: Thanks, NancyLynn--I thought of that first, but the kidnapped woman doesn't have kids...but maybe that doesn't matter, he's just speaking hypothetically, as it were?
NancyLynn: 9:03pm Jan 14, 2007: Yes, exactly - pack up your stuff, or your shit. It's figurative...
rousselures: 5:11am Jan 15, 2007: Absolument, kids have nothing to do with it, it just means to get all your stuff and get the ... out!

But I take it from what you say that he took only the woman, not her children. Which would concord with "Je te donne un break" - "I'm giving you a break (from these kids), I'm taking you away from them".

So might it be Québecois (is it a Canadian film?) for "Pack your kids' bags" (because while you're away they'll be in care and will need their stuff)?
