This is a PPT presentation so I can't really describe the charts. HGB, IFRS and US GAAP seem to be the Bilanzwerke. I guess it could be something along the lines of accounting systems/methods but I would like some help. |

All accounting standards will adopt uniform IFRS requirements. - tolketjenesten: 6:15pm Feb 2, 2005: Too bad that you opted for accounting systems, because that's definitely not meant here. These accounting standards are principles that are adopting rules and requirements from the IFRS in order to standarize the preparation of financial statements. - RobinB: 7:26pm Feb 2, 2005: Note to "Biorigins": That's an extremely rash comment, isn't it? "Accounting standards" are things like IFRSs/US GAAP/HGB (no *rules* in IFRSs, BTW). You're not confusing them with "accounting policies", by any chance? (but that would be wrong here, too). - tolketjenesten: 8:33pm Feb 2, 2005: Hi RobinB: ok, I don't see your point. My suggestion was the term "accounting standards", and looking at the comments here both you and Niamh agree that HGB, IFRS and US GAAP are accounting standards. Wasn't that the questions here? -

| | accounting systems/accounts/financial statements | Erklärung: Hi Niamh,
Well, if they're really referring to the different accounting standards used e.g. throughout a group, then I suppose "accounting systems" is OK (you can't process an "accounting standard", I think).
But to be honest, I think if you look at the substance rather than the form :-), then "accounts" or even "financial statements" makes more sense, especially if we're talking about consolidation, and they're adapting the various single-entity and subgroup F/S to their IFRS classification format. |
