I'm translating a review of a ballet. The ballet concerns itself with the themes of air and the wind. In an explanation of why this has had a ballet devoted to it, there are the following few lines. I'm just really not sure what the above phrase means. Thanks in advance for any help:

Daß ihr nun gleich ein ganzer Abend gebührt, versteht sich; denn luftig, die Schwerkraft außer Kraft setzend, kann, ja sollte Tanz schon sein. Aber die Luft kann auch als Wind, gar Orkan aus dem statischen Aggregatzustand herauswehen - und sie kann sich mit Wasser verbinden: als Nebel und Wolken dichte, oft durchaus unätherische Materialität gewinnen.
