Erklärung:
or silanized in US English.
The hyphen between the aminopropyl and the methyl implies that the aminopropyl group is not substituting the methyl, but rather that it is bonded to the Si atom and that the methyl group is also bonded to the Si atom.

I would not use silylation for this reaction.
