'discounting tables' relate to discounted cash flow methods of financial calculation/projection (ie 'discount' in the sense of 'allow for the time value of money') whereas this is simply about the discount to be applied in the light of experience in accepting assets as security in future (ie 'discount' in the sense of 'knock a bit off')
