Deutsch Begriff oder Satz: Anschlussnachfrage
"++ Wenig Anschlussnachfrage von kurzfristig orientierten Marktteilnehmern zu erwarten ++ Anleger mit mittelfristigem Anlagehorizont „kontrolliert vorsichtig“ ++ Hohe Skepsis gegenüber Unternehmensgewinnen ++ Weiter sinkende Sell-Side-Ratings ++ Chemiewerte erscheinen interessant ++ Pharmawerte sind rückschlagsgefährdet"

From some sort of financial newspaper. This little bit seems to be a series of quick headlines. I can't make head or tail of "Anschlussnachfrage", but it does seem to be a highly specific term associated with securities, sharemarkets and what-not. Not my favourite field this, but there was no one else available for this text, so I'm stuck with it. TIA for your assistance.

Rowan Morrell: 4:22am Oct 2, 2006: Thank you but ... - Why exactly would you use these terms? I'm not sure I'd understand the explanation, but I feel better about using a translation if the connection between the source and target words is explained.
David Hollywood: 5:04am Oct 2, 2006: "Anschluss" in this context means "connect with" in the sense of "link on"

subsequent demand
Erklärung:
IMHO "subsequent" corresponds better to the "Anschluss" component.

"In 1996, following a period of strong performance and ***subsequent demand***, the Company held a 'C' share issue in order to improve liquidity in the market for the Company's shares. The amount raised was approximately £21.5m, almost doubling the Company's assets."

"And there is a tremendous surge of cash that needs to be put to work in the capital markets, be it debt or equity. JPMorgan's Stevens says the pickup in new equity issuance is partially the result of roughly $170 billion that was invested in mutual funds in 2004 and the ***subsequent demand*** from fund managers for investment opportunities. "We think there will be good mutual fund flows and active issuance in terms of IPOs and follow-on transactions [in 2005] as well," he says."

"Subsequent demand" had convincing references to back it up, so I ended up using that. But "follow-up demand" also struck me as quite good, so I included that in the glossary also. Many thanks Steffen, David and everyone who contributed here. Appreciate your help.

effective demand

Erklärung:
One possibility is "effective demand". Please see this link:

http://www.tutor2u.net/economics/content/topics/demandsupply...

The demand of the customer which is backed up by "willingness" and "ability to pay" for goods / services. In short, the demand results in a transaction or business

Zustimmung Kieran McCann: 'follow-up demand' or just 'demand': we don't use the concept of 'Anschluss-' in this way anything like as much in English as in German
