Übersetzungen Deutsch > Englisch [PRO] Recht (allgemein) | | Deutsch Begriff oder Satz: ./. (dot slash dot) | I know this is already in the glossary, but the answer there has nothing to do with legal cases.
This is at the beginning of an attorney's arguments in a legal case.
It starts off with the standard,
In Sachen
then Company 1 ./. Company 2
Context does not provide any information about the relationship between these two companies, so the ./. symbol could me "vs." (logical), or it could imply something I don't know, like one company is a subsidiary of the other, or both are clients of this attorney involved in this case, etc.
Does anybody know FOR SURE what ./. stands for (in legalese, not the "minus sign for commercial documents" mentioned in the glossary?
Thanks!
