Deutsch Begriff oder Satz:Flächendichte
I've not come across this statistical term before, except as a measure of road kms per 1,000 inhabitants. Expressed in sq km per 1,000 inhabitants, I guess it's meant to express how much space is taken up by how many people. I've only ever seen it the other way round - number of inhabitants per sq km.
Can anyone enlighten me as to the English term?

Erklärung: It is a well known quantity in the stereology. It is the amount of source per unit volume - typical example lungs, where this is an essential property of the organ.

eventually - it is the context. Flächendichte is definitely surface density when used in 3D sample analysis.
