2 +1 | Neutral endopeptidase |
|
Neutral endopeptidase Explanation: Neutral endopeptidase has the short form NEP. NEP is widespread in the body - for instance on neutrophile cells, in lymph nodes, in the lungs, and in the central and peripheral nervous system. NEP (meaning neutral endopeptidase) is used in at least English, German and Scandinavian texts. I'am sorry I can't se the general topic of the lab table you are translating, but this is my suggestions. There should be lots of hits on google... -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2006-10-20 19:06:38 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- The reason for my suggestion of NEP being neutral endopeptidase is: NEP is in its amino acid structure similar or almost similar to CALLA (the common acute lymphoblastic leukaemia antigen) in cells in the bone marrow and the immune system. In case of leukaemia (any blood marrow disorder) you make a blood cell count. And in the blood cell count you count plasma cells, lymphocytes and monoblasts, as well as other cells from different levels in the hematopoiesis. -------------------------------------------------- Note added at 11 hrs (2006-10-20 19:20:52 GMT) -------------------------------------------------- Please see: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?db=pubmed&cmd=... and if more time, see also: http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/picrender.fcgi?artid=115143... http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi?itool=abstract... For further articles: Enter Pubmed or Medline and search for for instance "neutral endopeptidase" AND leukaemia. The texts often use NEP, CALLA, CD10. |
