agree  Anne Schulz: Ich denke bei MSRA auch eher an "Mischabstrich"; letzten Endes wird man aber um ein translator's note wohl nicht herumkommen, da sich "Mikroben-"/"mikrobiologisch" auch nicht ausschließen lässt.

Probenentnahme:
Den Abstrichtupfer durch den Mund bis zum Rachen einführen und mit leichtem Druck über die Schleimhaut schwenken (siehe Bild unten: Rachenabstrich). Danach den Tupfer (oder ein zweiter Tupfer falls vorhanden) in den Nasenraum bis zum Nasenrachen einführen (bei Erwachsenen ungefähr 7 cm von den Nasenlöchern entfernt) und zwei Mal rotieren. Den (die) Tupfer direkt in das Transportröhrchen geben und an der Bruchstelle gegen die Rörchenwand brechen.
Falls es nicht möglich ist zwei Abstriche zu entnehmen, ist der Nasenrachenabstricht zu bevorzugen.

GPs are required to provide a combined nose and throat swab specimen from cases presenting with suspected influenza or influenza like illness.

Ø Taking the specimen and filling in the forms:
1. The flocked (plastic) swab is used to abrade the tonsils and pharynx (see diagram).
2. The swab is then broken off into a bottle containing the transport medium.
