We don't even know what the therapy is, so I'm reluctant to get too clinical/psychological about it. I'm not convinced "attachment" in a deep psychic sense is even desirable.

I think Johanna's generally right but not in this context.

IMO an "attachment figure" is a mother, father etc. - someone with whom one builds up a psychological attachment over a period of time.

The "Bezugsperson" in the question appears to an individual who is assigned to the patient by the hospital (to liaise with the patient and so on).
