Just the process in a market or shop, but I cannot find the right term!
Probably it's something really obvious!

I was surprised to discover that this web ref was indeed US. It would not have surprised me at all to find that this term drew blank stares in a 'mall'. Would you like me to check out a few co.uk sites, Stephen?
Re the idea for 'cashier registration', a national scheme could indeed prevent people with a criminal record from being placed in such positions of trust with cash.

Fragesteller: I like the reference, BUT am looking for UK use...that's why I asked about tills
Fragesteller: Andrew, that would be most helpful (off-topic sorry 4 the delay, was out with my dog)
Fragesteller: He is called Muffin, is a Jack Russell Terrier and is one of the fastest dogs around here. He averages about 4-5 hours out each day (my wife has more time than me) and the legs are firmly in place!
