I'm confused because up to now the text has dealt exclusively with racing cars, yet my understanding is that "autocarri" are normally vans or lorries - in any case vehicles used for work/transportation purposes. Any suggestions gratefully received. |

well, if you can use the American term, which is well known in the whole English speaking world anyway, I think it'd sound better, because it gives you a wider range of vehicles than lorry, so it sounds better in 'small and medium trucks' |

Erklärung:
Autocarro can also apply to cars as well as trucks (my own car is registered as autocarro) Commercial vehicles is a commonly used term in English which covers the same category of vehicles as autocarro.
