Electronic format as suggested above refers not to the media or device itself, but the actual files.
Soft copy also refers to the actual files and not the physical media on which they are stored/delivered.

Like Paola says, not sure, but I use this blanket version (fd, cd, e-mail???).
I say hard copy for supporto cartaceo o copia cartacea.
