The text is is about a non-profit organisation's sports activities, in particular skiing. For an idea of the context:
XXX si propone come ponte per unire il mondo delle persone disabili con quello delle persone “abili”, portando questi due gruppi a contatto l’uno con l’altro proprio dove il divario è maggiore: nel mondo dello sport e del Turismo.
I've thought of differently-abled (which may be more of a U.S. English usage) and physically challenged, but I would like some input from those in the know!
