spanruss: 11:48pm Feb 21, 2007: Right, but would treetops factor in to an ecological study, i.e., do they shape the environment. I'm really not sure if that's what they mean here.

Luisa Moura Almeida: 12:07am Feb 22, 2007: It's probably a typo for clima, but changes in a forest structure such as degree of canopy opening imply changes in food resource characteristics (e.g., insect populations, fruiting cycles, etc) and certainly have an impact on the environment

Each province has distinctly different and unique topography, climate, soils, vegetation, and visual resources. Since Lucky Peak is located on the border of two major provinces, an extensive variety of ecological features exists within a short distance of one another and of Lucky Peak. This is an advantage for the project, providing the public with high visual resource quality, diversity of landforms, wildlife, and vegetation. These advantages serve to draw people from the Boise Valley, which is located in a different physiographic province.
