The catheter would reach, ultimately, the "aorta ascendente (AA)," but I don't think that works. Maybe something to do with "antecedentes" (?) -- see http://www.proz.com/kudoz/316775

lesleynoelle: 12:57am Jan 10, 2006: Alicia, this is not a sentence from the source text - Sorry for the confusion. This sentence is not part of my translation -- i.e., is not from the source text. I was just thinking that "AA" might stand for "aorta ascendente" because, during a catheterization, the catheter would ultimately pass through the ascending aorta. But this didn't seem to fit.
