Susana Galilea: 12:59am May 20, 2004: you're right, from the references I am finding...sorry I can't help with the translation :) - Pina Trans (asker): 2:06am May 20, 2004: I found these links: http://www.acegral.com/margarinas.html and http://www.delllano.com/margarina.htm Maybe these will help! I am stumped!
Pina Trans (asker): 12:24pm May 20, 2004: Sorry, I meant the link (http://www.acegral.com/margarinas.html) describes it for baking bread.

| Hinweis von Fragesteller an den AntwortendenThis was a hard one! Thank you both for your help. I was able to rule out "shortening" because I found a link that used both the terms "shortening" and "aliñado" so I knew that it couldn't be the same thing (http://www.delllano.com/margarina.htm). Kellyn's link (http://www.marketresearch.com/map/prod/722224.html) proved to be invaluable and going through the complete list of products, I was able to narrow it down to "bakery margarine". I used the link that Susana provided (as well as the other 2 that I found) for the definitions of "aliñado graso" and compared the definition of "bakery margarine" and it seems to match. This is an educated guess but I was not able to find anything else, besides "pastry margarine" but that is used for puff pastries. I decided to go with "bakery" because this site (http://www.acegral.com/margarinas.html) describes it for more than just pastries (cakes, tarts, cookies, sweets). I'm giving the points to kellyn because her link helped me come up with a suitable translation. If I ever do get confirmation on the term, I will update the glossary. Cheers! :-) 4 KudoZ-Punkte wurden für diese Antwort vergeben |
