Bio
My name is Marta and I come from Poland. I have been living in Northern Ireland since 2005. During that time I have been improving my language skills and upgrading the level of professionalism by providing interpreting services on volunteer and non volunteer basis. I hold a Diploma in Public Interpreting in Law in Northern Ireland. I am studying towards Bachelors with honours degree in Law and Business with Spanish.

My scope of experience is various and rich in legal, medical and commercial projects. The biggest one I worked on was signing contracts for employment with Polish nationality temporary workers with Industrial temps recruitment agency in 2011.The biggest single interpreting assignment I have carried out up until now was for Industrial Tribunal. When interpreting at the trial I was using a combination of interpreting techniques and I demonstrated the knowledge of technical terminology. I was asked to interpret at food & safety, manual handling trainings using the consecutive technique in a conference setting. I have provided conference interpreting at Christian conferences.
I am registered with a number of interpreting agencies in Northern Ireland. I have been successfully interpreting for PSNI (SOCA, Public Protection units etc.), PPS, NIPS, Courts and Tribunal Service (Employment tribunal, care tribunal and in family related matters), SSA, Appeal Service, Youth Justice Agency, BELB, SHSCT, Victim NI, Addiction NI, Women`s Aid. In the past three years I have successfully established a business relationship with several private companies.

I also enjoy learning Spanish and French outside of the university programme. I wish to utilize my language, interpersonal and communication skills further. I always work to my utmost and I adhere to the professional code of practice remaining confidential and impartial. I have a vast range of interests which allows me to utilize my translating skills. I always use my interpreting network of experienced linguists and apply advice of senior interpreters. I enjoy participating in conferences and seminars for interpreters and translators.
